Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how BuyerAwareApp LLC, a Florida limited liability company operating as BuyerAware ("we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit buyerawareapp.com or purchase a vehicle report.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide at checkout: your email address, the vehicle listing link and/or VIN you submit, and — if you choose to save payment details with Stripe — your name and billing details. We never see or store your full card number; payments are processed entirely by Stripe.
- Checklist download: if you request our free "Tank or Trap?" checklist, the email address you enter in the request form. This is used to send you the checklist and is not added to any marketing list.
- Correspondence: emails you send to hello@buyerawareapp.com.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider may log IP addresses and browser types for security and site operation.
- Advertising and site measurement: we use the Google Ads tag and Google Analytics (both via gtag.js) to measure whether our ads lead to visits and purchases, and to understand how far visitors get through our checkout. Google may set cookies and collect your IP address, browser information, and pages visited on this site. In addition to page views and completed purchases, we record a small number of anonymous interaction events — for example, that a visitor viewed the pricing section or selected a checkout button. Google Analytics also automatically records basic engagement signals such as how far down a page you scrolled, clicks to other websites, and file downloads. These events record the action only; they do not capture anything you type. See how Google uses this data. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and block Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser opt-out add-on.
- Reddit advertising measurement: we use the Reddit Pixel to measure whether our Reddit ads lead to visits and purchases. Reddit may set cookies and collect your IP address, browser information, and pages visited on this site. When you complete a purchase we send Reddit the order value, currency, and number of reports — never your email address, name, listing link, or VIN. See Reddit's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization in your Reddit privacy settings.
- Meta advertising measurement: we use the Meta Pixel to measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and purchases. Meta may set cookies and collect your IP address, browser information, and pages visited on this site. When you complete a purchase we send Meta the order value, currency, and number of reports — never your email address, name, listing link, or VIN. See Meta's Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization in your Facebook ad preferences.
- Advertising platforms we do not use on this site: we do not run TikTok or LinkedIn tracking pixels on buyerawareapp.com. If that changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

4. Your choices and rights
You may review, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@buyerawareapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what information we have collected and the right to request deletion. We honor these requests for all users regardless of location.
5. Do Not Track
This site does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals. The Google Ads tag, Google Analytics, Reddit Pixel, and Meta Pixel described in Section 1 may use cookies that recognize your browser across sites; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, block Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on, manage Reddit ad personalization in your Reddit privacy settings, and manage Meta ad personalization in your Facebook ad preferences.
6. Data retention
We keep order records (email, listing link, report delivered) as long as needed to provide support, honor refunds, and meet legal and tax obligations. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post a notice on this page before the changes take effect.
