This Privacy Policy describes how BuyerAware ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit buyerawareapp.com or purchase a vehicle report.
1. Information we collect
- Information you provide at checkout: your email address, the vehicle listing link and/or VIN you submit, and — if you choose to save payment details with Stripe — your name and billing details. We never see or store your full card number; payments are processed entirely by Stripe.
- Correspondence: emails you send to hello@buyerawareapp.com.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider may log IP addresses and browser types for security and site operation. We do not run advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or social media trackers on this site.
2. How we use information
- To prepare and deliver the vehicle report you purchased
- To process payments and refunds (via Stripe)
- To respond to your questions and provide support
- To prevent fraud and protect the Service
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.
3. Who we share information with
- Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's Privacy Policy)
- Email and hosting providers — to deliver reports and operate the website
- Legal authorities — only if required by law
4. Your choices and rights
You may review, correct, or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@buyerawareapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what information we have collected and the right to request deletion. We honor these requests for all users regardless of location.
5. Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors across third-party websites, this site does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals — there is no cross-site tracking to disable.
6. Data retention
We keep order records (email, listing link, report delivered) as long as needed to provide support, honor refunds, and meet legal and tax obligations. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post a notice on this page before the changes take effect.
