Real answers, before you commit

Send us the listing you're considering. We'll tell you what's likely to break, what it's actually worth, and exactly what to say to the seller.

What every report includes

  • Mechanical read on that exact year, engine, and transmission
  • Fair price range for the car's condition and market
  • Word-for-word negotiation script
  • Three top-rated inspection shops near the listing
  • A lower-risk Tank alternative if the car's a money pit
  • Delivered by email within 2–4 hours
  • If the car sells before your report lands, you get a full refund. You're not gambling on the seller's timeline.
  • If the report is late — past 4 hours from when we have your listing — ask and we'll refund it. You keep the report either way.
  • If it's not useful, email us within 7 days for a full refund. No questions asked, no reason needed.

Before you buy a report

What exactly do I need to send you?

A link to the listing is enough. If you have the VIN, include it — it lets us be precise about the exact engine and transmission combination, which often matters more than the model year. You'll enter both at checkout.

Do you inspect the car in person?

No — BuyerAware is a desk-based analysis using vehicle history, known issue databases, and market data, not a physical inspection. Think of it as your pre-inspection filter: it tells you whether this car is even worth scheduling an in-person inspection for — and if it is, your report includes the three highest-rated pre-purchase inspection shops near the car.

What cars do you cover?

Any used car sold in the U.S. We're especially deep on Toyota, Honda, and other high-reliability platforms — the cars most buyers are hunting for in the first place.

Can I see one first?

Yes. The sample report is a real one we delivered for a 2005 BMW X5 listing — nothing staged, nothing softened.

Can I buy reports for more than one car?

Yes — each report covers one listing. Buy one per car you're seriously considering. If you're still narrowing the field, the free Tank List and buying tips will do a lot of that work for you first.
